Personal statement

I am a recent school leaver looking for work in landscaping. I enjoy working outside with my hands and have experience in a range of labouring activities, such as horticulture and property maintenance. Once employed in the landscaping industry, I intend to start an apprenticeship, with the long-term goal of becoming a qualified landscaper.


Farm work

  • Extensive knowledge of horticultural activities, including pruning, planting harvesting and pest control.
  • Experience in general farm maintenance, such as fencing and basic vehicle and machinery maintenance.

Skilled and safety-conscious driver

  • Skilled at driving farm vehicles, including tractors and motorbikes.
  • Full, clean driver’s licence and a forklift operator certificate.

Dependable, with good time management skills

  • Successfully balanced after-school work with sports and coaching commitments.
  • Received a commendation from current employer, Dollar Wise, for working six months without missing a shift.

Strong leadership qualities

  • Coached Old Boys junior rugby team for two seasons.
  • Captained the 2nd 15 rugby team in final year at high school.
